The Pittsburgh Community Improvement Association
(PCIA) is a neighborhood-based, community development corporation which operates in the Pittsburgh neighborhood within the
City of Atlanta. The organization was founded in 1999 by community residents and received its 501 (c) 3 status in 2002.
PCIA's goal is to revitalize and redevelop the Pittsburgh community, giving particular emphasis to the neighborhood’s
current residents. Current efforts are focused on rebuilding a unique, historical, and diverse community that promotes
home ownership, economic and community development, public safety, education, recreation and community pride.
