Community Economic Development
PCIA has been awarded some resources and is seeking ongoing funding to purchase land for affordable housing for residents. PCIA is also spearheading economic development opportunities that will provide jobs for residents of the Pittsburgh Community. The Community Economic Development department focuses on:
  • Financial Literacy
  • Workforce Development
  • Housing Advocacy & Development

Community Safety 
Community Safety partners with community-oriented policing activities, neighborhood watch, and community safety programs that teach residents how to be proactive when it comes to crime in their neighborhood. Additionally, the community safety department works to transform vacant lots and other open spaces into neighborhood assets. Community Safety initiatives include:
  • Neighborhood Watch
  • Code Enforcement
  • Community Restoration

Community Building 
Community building engages neighborhood residents in an ongoing process of carrying out a common vision of a diverse and stable neighborhood. Creating community led projects that provide a safe and beautiful community, strengthen families, foster a healthy local economy and provide for increase understanding among neighborhood residents. PCIA will support youth in leadership development and enrichment programs that will promote education, community service, pride and healthy family relationships.
